2010 DIXIE CLASSIC
October 6, 7 and 8th, 2010

This was the second time we have shown at this AOB show, this time we were the only Dexters there.  We were very pleased, again,  with the friendliness of the people and the facility as a whole.  Unlike the NC Mtn Fair, the facility is right in the action and we had LOTS of fair visitors come in and talk Dexters with us.  We had a great time and look forward to attending next years event also.  This year was an AOB class and we met with the Livestock Personel and what we need to have a Dexter Show at this venue is that at the 2011 show, we must show AOB, but there must be at least 20 Dexters and at least 4 different Exhibitors showing Dexters.  This will all but secure a 2012  Dexter Show BUT the same minimums apply year after year, 20 + head and 4 exhibitors.  We are willing to commit to this show but need at the very least 4 other exhibitors to commit as well (we need at least an standby incase one year all 4 "regulars" cannot make it!  ***Even with showing AOB and only bringing 5 of our cattle, the prize money offered and the reasonable hotel costs.., we paid for the trip AND got a bunch of advertising hours in talking to at least a couple hundred interested fair goers. ***
